Ways for you to help green East Campus
Contact the College Park City Council: The city council currently has to approve $5 million in relocation funds this year, and another $5 million next year for the university to relocate facilities that will be displaced by the East Campus development project. They also may be called on in the future to deliver further financial assistance in the form of bonds for the actual development. Contact the City Council and ask them to ensure the university is going to build East Campus according to the strongest green building, storm water management, and smart growth standards.

Contact the University Administration: The University is the primary entity making East Campus move forward with their vision. Contact the administration and ensure that vision lines up with your own.

Contact them to ensure that they only approve an East Campus development that follows strongest green building, storm water management, and smart growth standards.

Contact College Park’s State Legislators: The East Campus development will likely need some state financial assistance in the form of bonds to ensure its completion.
